Using a browser is possibly the easiest method of using Lions Chat, since it does not require any special software beyond your favourite web browser.
In the box below, enter the nickname that you wish to use (please use a name that other Lions are likely to recognise, like your character's name or your forum user name). Note that spaces are not allowed, but underscores are, so they can be used to seperate names. (eg Elrood Brond would not be allowed, but Elrood_Brond would be)
When you have entered a suitable nickname, click the Chat button. This will open a new window [screenshot] with the main (OOC) chat room opened. Once you are logged on, you will be able to join/create other rooms if you wish (see the Tips & Tricks page for details on how to do this.
If the above does not work, try following this link and
entering the following details in the "Connect to a specific server" box:
Server: Blitzed.org
Channel: #LionsOOC
Nickname: A suitable name (see above)
Pass: Leave blank
If you use this facility from an environment where your web access is monitored (eg at work, school, or university) then using this method may result in a lot of requests to blitzed.org being logged. This may or may not be an issue, depending on the Internet access policy (or equivalent) in force. If you need more advice about this, ask on the forum.
