I'll get you dinner if Promethion wins.

Deal! I would make a comment about returning the favour if Promethion doesn't win, but I have confidence in him!

Surely if you had confidence in him, you'd be very keen to offer dinner in the event he lost?

I have fought beside Seraphim and have heard tales of Lord Promethion of the Jackal Nation from other Vipers but never actually met the gentleman in person. I would very much like to attend if possible and there are no objections from either side.

Clearly the chance of him losing is just that strange to me!

Now the rules of the duel would be the key here. Having fought besides both Gentlemen, I am aware of their capabilities and strengths. If it was a score and withdraw to fight the next point, Seraphim's reach and speed with that sword should afford him a win, even with Promethian's speed at blocking. A Grand Melee style with the last man standing would favour Promethian.

May your ancestors guide your hands and honour be served.

Interesting that you think so. I like your predictions, however...

In order to gain entry to the Grand Melee you need to win a hit and withdraw melee tournament. For Example, Sword and Shield, Two Weapons, Dagger etc
The fact that I have gained entry to (and won) the Grand Melee for the last four years should tell you I am able to do both styles.

However I tend to think that the hit and withdraw style is better for onlookers as they can see what is going on rather than it just being a brawl.

Either way, I hope that you will be along to watch.

In my own experience I think that hit and withdraw is by far the best system for a duel, leaves less open for the debate as to who hit who etc etc.

Promethian, don't get me wrong I know you have an exceptional ability with the blade and are a formidable opponent in both battles of wit and prowess. Whatever the outcome it will be a close run thing.

As a Unicorn and therefore not a partisan for either the Lions or Jackals I offer my services as an adjudicator, I would suggest there are two as the speed of the duel will confound a single judge

Seraphim,

With the Moot only a few weeks away, I thought I should enquire about when you'd like our duel?
