Oh, stop digging yourself in deeper. My version of sense never made sense to anyone else, so you might think you're doing horribly and it turns out that I accept whatever you think is an explanation.

On the other hand, I might find you were just being cruel, and then we'd best all hope that it was unintentional.

Perhaps this is best done in person. My temper is starting to fray.

Anyway, Albreeth? Sometimes Elbreeth, Elbereth, often referred to as having wrath and walking forbidden paths.

It seems that Albreeth was extremely good at not being openly involved so perhaps there is little to actually be found out. On the other hand, I would very much like to be able to talk to people about this anyway and what the Conclave got up to (apart from the obvious) as it seems likely he was pulling the strings regardless of who was given the credit for the actions.

Daolyth, Ryn - Bards Guild, 11.30? Anyone else?

I don't have any information for the rite, but if you want to let us know at the guild beforehand I can make sure there are healers on standby to help out if needed.

Ravenfire, that's very kind. I'm hoping we can be clever enough to work out a way for some of the Gazed to shield me but you never know. You see, living/unliving Gazed can't see each other magically, so there has to be a way to use that to provide me a way of seeing through Bliquis or Gwion without Albreeth being able to see me at all AND, crucially, without my mind having to touch Erdreja's because I'm not Gazed and I don't want to die.

Daolyth, I may need to borrow the elf-stone - do you know who I need to ask nicely? Is it Apsenniel or do you have it?

Jolly good. I'll need to borrow an elf to hold it. I like to move when performing a rite.

Given that you're being all circumspect, I'll leave it until I see you to tell you when and where we're actually doing it.

This is readily deliverable. I can provide an elf.

Will the elf provided have a big bow?

Does this rite require an archer of some sort? What are we going to do, fire an arrow through the void and hope it hits Albreeth in the eye?

Because I am entirely comfortable with this plan.

I'm not sure it will work, but content to give it a try.

I was thinking more the sort of bow that you get from tying a big ribbon around something. Or someone. Make it a shiny red ribbon if you can.

I would try to fire arrows through the void, but 1) we're not playing with a void gate in this rite, and 2) I wouldn't want to rob those with greater claims on killing him of the satisfaction.

I do not understand what purpose this will serve. However, if this is pleasing to you then an idea occurs and if I can make this reality, then it will be so.

Satisfaction should not be a barrier to convenience. It has never occurred to me "not" to kill someone or something on the basis that it might prove cathartic to someone at a later date.

Although I am sure the sentiment is heartfelt, the wisdom behind thinking "we could've killed this enemy at such and such a time, but decided not to because we thought you'd want to" is somewhat flawed.

This is because you have no sense of humour. The thought of you doing something just to please me is nice though. You should do so.

Let us be clear - I know very well about your opinions on killing. Let's talk about ribbons instead.

I endeavour to please. And to know that I have done so, brings me a small measure of peace.

Although I am no expert, I will happily continue this ribbon based discussion over the alternative.

I am happy to bring you peace, however small. I don't think it's destined to last, unfortunately. I'm not so cruel as to force you to chat about ribbons, though. There are so many other exciting things to bring up!

How about... oh, I know. Do you plan to attend Ta'Cibien's pyjama party at the guild on Saturday?

Although I do believe golden ribbons would bring warmth to your eyes.
