Gallathrix

Postby ScottishSarah » Mon Feb 24, 2014 11:53 pm

Greetings,

Althea has invited my companion and I to assist on the campaign on Gallathrix. What can we expect of the land and it's people? And what of the enemies we will face?

Are you the lovely lady I met at the Bards shindig, with the black feathers? Pleasure to have you along, ma'am.

Gallathrix is the home of the Palatinate and the Prince Bishops Men, amongst various others. The PBs Men are the military part of the Palatinate, the rest being civilians.

Currently, the Island is being invaded by things that are not daemons. We think they may be unliving, but haven't confirmed that yet.

We should be able to find out really quickly when we get there. Unliving taste really bad.

We think there maybe a Necromancer on Gallathrix who has been creating an army of unliving.

I wont lie, the security of your islands and their ability to let Necromancers wander in frightens me. Well I think its fright, I am unsure what fear is like, maybe its just indigestion.

Master Cade -

Maybe drink some mint tea, then see how you're feeling?

Gallathrix is usually quite nice, but it's likely to be pretty tense at the moment for obvious reasons.

Where are all the daemons then? I wonder what Tatalus is up to whilst you're all looking at the possible unliving.

Probably doing his best to kill all those in the Legions who are fighting him on Orlagnon. Now the weather is warming up he won't be so restricted in attacking them.

Whilst he has a major front there, he's unlikely to start another major offensive elsewhere. Smaller incursions and missions, inevitably.

He seems like the sort of opponent that would take advantage of the distraction, is all.

I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a surprise appearance on Gallathrix while we are focusing on other matters, but we are going to try and stop the trouble the Necromancer is causing.

Ah yes lets move on from the enemy already being fought to fight a new threat on another front, that always ends well..........Where do you lot learn tactics exactly? I would like to kill the person who taught it. Or let them teach some of our enemies them.

Begging your pardon, but since when is it a good idea to ignore a threat when the Legions are containing the big one? His major force and our major force are butting heads on Orlagnon. Having a small force of about a hundred trained specialists deal with a threat the Legions can't take the time to deal with seems a very good idea to me. Otherwise we end up with three lost islands, rather than one and one contested.

Plus, Her Majesty said so, so we do so.

If we had chosen this fight I would agree with you Master Cade. But, he invaded Gallathrix with an army of Unliving. We can't ignore him, and Tatalus is currently occupied trying to wipe out two legions.

I fully expect him to turn up to harrass us at some point over the weekend, and aim to be prepared for him.

Actually we ignored a threat as a Faction, few years back, it grew and grew with few noticing while we dealt with other 'more important' threats. Then it became a big threat.

This Necromancer is advancing in power, learning, he may even have some manner of deal with Tatilus. His work is still in some ways shoddy but he's taken a different direction to things and a rather large step up from rats.

I expect very well the Lions and their allies will not get complacent when it comes to Tatilus but to ignore this necromancer and continue to let him build his armies is even more dangerous.

I'm not saying NOT to move on the necromancer because, well, clearly you have to. I'm just raising the notion that Tatalus is probably up to something whilst you're not looking and it is something to keep in mind so you're not blind sided by him.
