It was just unlucky that no one was saved or revealed for the town and all the focus was put elsewhere from the start. I have played quite a few werewolf games in my time and if people were interested I could run a game where everyone gets night actions as I feel villager roles are quite clueless with nothing to go on but conversations.

Sorry for all the tasty meals we had. It was nothing personal.

Also thanks to SteveS for running the game 8)

I will make a post with all the rules / roles and details at some point, it's a lot more complicated than your standard werewolf but each player feels like they can achieve something with their role it really focuses on the talking as you will have everyone on all sides knowing things about each other, I will flavour it in LT Larp roles as well (there are some unique roles that I wont be able to do but it shouldn't affect anything)

If people could post if they are interested so I can get a player count that would be fab, depending on players will depend on the game structure, if I could get 14~15 (although i know it might be a challenge) that would be perfect. :D

Guard one player each night. If someone attacks a guarded player, both the attacker and the Bodyguard die instead of the guarded player.

Swap two players at night, making actions that target the first player instead target the second player and vice versa.
:mrgreen: - [Scout] - - Town Investigative
Track one person's activity each night.
:mrgreen: - [Physician] - - Town_Protective
Visit someone at night to save them if someone tries to kill them.* (This will not protect bodyguards if guarded correctly)
:mrgreen: - [Bard] - - Town_Protective
Block someone's role at night, canceling their night abilities.
:mrgreen: - [Gate-Guard] - Town Investigative
See everyone who visits his target each night.
:mrgreen: - [Militia] - - Town Investigative
Check one player each night for criminal activity.

Sees who the wolves target at night, target a player to read their last will.

Takes X days to build up courage then can kill one target at night, target a player. A wanted poster apears the next day of that player and revealed anonymously to the town.

Get visions at night of what each player saw before they died. Can talk to dead players and ask them 3 yes or no questions* (response does not need to be the truth)

:lol: - [Depressive Jester™] - Neutral Benign
Ability - Annoy another player at night, indicating to that player that he was visited by a Jester.
Goal - Die by being lynched during the day. - This then triggers a random guilty voter to die.
:? - [Amnesiac] - Neutral Benign
Ability - Convert to any role that has been killed, assume the abilities of that role*
Goal - If the Amnesiac does not convert to another role, survive. If the Amnesiac converts to another role, then the win condition of the role the Amnesiac converted to.
*note that if you become a werewolf you will instead become a werewolf pup with no abilities other than to vote who to kill*
:D - [Surviour] - Neutral Benign
Ability - 3 times during the game you can chant melee immunity and not die during that night from any attacks
Goal - Survive to the end of the game, regardless of whether or not the Town or Wolves win.
:x - [Executioner] - Neutral Benign
Ability - target a player. A wanted poster apears the next day of that player and revealed anonymously to the town.
Goal - - Live to see his target lynched during the day. (Random target given at the start of the game)
:cry: - [Necromancer] - Neutral Evil
Ability - Convert one person to a ghoul each night. Werewolf's will not be affected, ghouls and Necromancer can talk via PM
Goal - - Wins if the Town, Werewolves, and all other killing roles are dead or converted to Ghouls.
:shock: - [Witch] - Neutral Evil
Ability - Force one person to use their night ability on a target of the Witch's choice.
Goal - Survive and see the town lose the game.
8) - [Assassin] - Neutral Killing
Ability - Choose a player to poison each night. If a physician doesn't visit them that night or next they will die. Players know they are poisoned. Alpha wolf is immune and can't be killed at night.
Goal - Kill everyone
:oops: - [Pyromancer] - Neutral killing
Ability - Choose a player to mark or set ablaze all marked players. Players will know they have been marked and will kill all players regardless of roles. Can't be killed at night
Goal - Kill everyone

Goal - See Wolves win
:twisted: -[Alpha wolf] - Wolf Evil
Choses who to kill and does the killing. If the alpha wolf dies a random other wolf becomes the alpha wolf and looses all other abilities
:roll: - [White Wolf] - Town Investigate - Wolf Investigate
Doesn't appear as a wolf to investigating roles. Target a player each night to find role type.
:evil: - [Shadow wolf] - Wolf Evil - Wolf Deception
X times per game choose a player to hide inside their house. All people who target you instead target that player that night.
:evil: - [Black wolf] - Wolf Evil - Wolf Deception
Target player each night to appear as a wolf to investigating roles.
:evil: - [Blood wolf] - Wolf Evil - Wolf Deception
Targets a player at night. If that player is killed the blood wolf replaces his ability with the killed players ability. The killed player will show 'unknown role' when found dead the next day and last will wont be found.

GENERAL RULES

No Ghosting. 'Dead people can't talk'
All talking in this thread relates to the game.
No PM to other players unless allowed via game rules.
No updating posts

GENERAL ABILITIES

LAST WILL
Each player can write a last will to host before the deadline for that day, if that player dies the last will is found with the body and revealed to the whole town.

LYNCHING
Everyday people can vote who they think is evil and publicly votes for that player. If there is a majority vote for a player that player is killed and role is revealed.

DEATH NOTE
- [killing roles only]
When choosing to kill a player you have the option to write a death note to be found with the body. 'Keep it short'

SETUP

Host will post a list of players and a role sheet before the game starts. This allows all players to see who else there is and see what possible roles are avaliable [also helps late game to determine who is lying about their role]

Players talk freely in forum.
Last wills can be created or updated.
Roles that allow chat between players PM each other. Players PM host who they choose to visit that night if able.
Death notes written and voting for a lynch is active.

:idea: LYNCH PHASE.
Player [if any] is lynched.
Role and last will revealed to town.
This is done some time before the night to give time to adjust targets and talk about what happened.

:?: NIGHT TIME PHASE
[ Game paused while updates and events happen ]
Host posts at a set time [Night].
Players stop all activity while host compiles nights activitys and sends PM to each player about what they find out and what happens.

:!: UPDATE
Once completed night time phase the forum post is then updated with the results of last night's activities that are publicly available.

:arrow: NEW DAY
And a new day starts as soon as the update is posted.

:!: AN EXAMPLE UPDATE :!:

The sun rises for a new day.
However it seems last night not everyone made it. PLAYER 1 was found this morning face down in the dirt. Examining the body he seems to have been Torn Apart [Werewolf] , Burnt to a cinder [Pyromancer] , Poisoned [Assassin] , Cut down in his stride [Vigilante] , Killed in a duel [Bodyguard] and Killed himself because couldn't take the guilt [Jester]

Player 1 was a [Physician]

Player 1's last will:
day 1. Targeted player 2. I think it might also be player 3.
Also a note was found by his body
Muwhahaha I'm player 3... honest!

On the notice board there is a wanted poster for Player 3 and Player 1
